Prepare Your Quilt
To ensure the best possible results and a smooth quilting process, it's essential to properly prepare your quilt top.
Press the Quilt Top: Make sure to press your quilt top to remove any wrinkles or creases for a smoother finish.
Trim Loose Threads: Snip any loose threads from the top and along the edges to prevent snags during quilting.
Avoid Embellishments: Remove any bulky embellishments or items that might interfere with the quilting process.
Prepare the Backing: Make sure the backing is at least 8 inches larger (length and width) than the quilt top and is also pressed and free of wrinkles.
Label the quilt top and backing: If the quilt top and backing are directional, mark the top center of each.
Securely Package Your Quilt: Package your quilt top and backing (and batting if you’re supplying it) carefully to prevent damage during shipping or transport.
Additional Information
What pantographs do you have available?
Check out the current offerings in our Design Library, where we’ve highlighted some of our favorite options for you. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, no problem! You can send us a photo of an idea you like or let us know what you have in mind and we’ll be happy to explore options with you.
When will my quilt be completed?
We strive to complete your quilt within two weeks from the time it arrives. To check the current completion times or discuss the possibility of an earlier deadline, please contact us using the link below.
Notes:
Tucks and Puckers: We strive to provide a flat, square quilt; however, we cannot guarantee that there won’t be a few tucks or puckers. If your quilt arrives with extra fullness, it may result in corners that are not perfectly square and could lead to puckering. The flatter your quilt top is, the better the final quilting will be.
Mechanical Errors: Our machine is well-maintained, properly oiled, and in excellent working condition. We replace the needle for each quilt we work on. While we rarely encounter issues with our machine, please keep in mind that it is a mechanical device, and a rare defect could occur, potentially delaying the quilting process or causing minor damage to your quilt top or backing. By sending your quilt top to us, you acknowledge this possibility.
How do I get my quilt to you?
